Words from Members

“The good folk of IRAS are where you go to try to put it all together; not that you succeed in putting it all together, but then the good folk of IRAS also help you understand why you fail.”

“Since 1972, when I became a member fresh out of graduate school, IRAS, its journal Zygon, and its Star Island conferences have been the primary sustenance of my thinking about science and religion.  And the IRAS community has been the source of many wonderful personal relationships.”

“In the arena of religion and science dialogue, I go to the IRAS conference to hear what’s happening on the edge.  Whatever happens in IRAS becomes the subject on which all the other conferences focus two years later.  Beautiful location, top-notch science, thoughtful religious people.  That’s IRAS in a nutshell.”
